I’ve always been a big fan of the Superstar—I must have bought seven or eight pairs over the years. One time, my mom even came over and asked why I had so many of the same shoes (laughs), which just shows how much I love them. The classic shell-toe shape, combined with the fact that they’re so easy to style without overthinking, makes them one of my most-worn sneakers.
This updated Superstar II keeps the iconic look but comes with plenty of improvements in the details: the previously stiff sole has been replaced with a thicker EVA midsole, making it much more comfortable to walk in; the tongue has also been slightly padded, giving better proportions when paired with baggy pants or cropped trousers, making it a better fit for today’s styling trends.
This pair actually arrived a while ago, but we never managed to get photos we were happy with. As a result, they were almost sold out before we even made a post. Right now, there are still a few pairs available in-store—if you’re interested, come try them on. Once you wear them, you’ll understand.
