I’ve always really loved the Superstar—I must have bought seven or eight pairs over the years. Once, when my mom came over, she even asked why I had so many of the same shoes (laughs), which shows just how much I love them. The iconic shell-toe silhouette, combined with how effortlessly they pair with any outfit, makes them one of my most-worn sneakers.
The upgraded Superstar II keeps the classic look but improves the details: the previously stiff sole is now replaced with a thicker EVA midsole, making it much more comfortable to walk in. The tongue has also been padded a bit, which gives better proportions when wearing baggy trousers or cropped pants, making the overall style feel more in tune with today’s fashion.
This pair actually arrived a while ago, but we never managed to take photos we were satisfied with. As a result, they nearly sold out before we even posted about them. There are still a few pairs left in-store—if you’re interested, come try them on. Once you put them on, you’ll understand.
